We conducted art class for children at a childcare centre and had loads of fun.
The Adventures of Robo Robbie taught pre-school children aged below 5 years old, on using recycled items to create another useful product. Items in the goodie bag include the book containing the story of Robo Robbie on his adventures on recycling, as well as recycled items such as toilet rolls and cereal boxes.
During the process, children are also taught to identify the different shapes of the materials (e.g. circle of toilet roll, square of box).
Besides learning about shapes, the children also learnt to mix primary colours to form secondary colours and identifying warm and cool colours. The final product actually doubles up as a storage compartment.
